Congratulations Dog Park Supporters! Thanks to the generocity of the residents of the city of Sedona we've begun final planning to build the park.  Hundreds of donations by residents and two large donations by anonymous donors have made this possible.  Construction of the park will be underway soon — starting with the parking lot in July 2006.  We plan on having the park finished by Fall of 2006 and we hope to see you all there.  We encourage all users to view the Rules of the Park before your first visit.   After 2 long years of effort, the Sedona Dog Park Inc. holds a lease for the land owned by the City of Sedona. There are no more administrative hurdles for us to pass...now we need your money to make this work.  Although we've raised the money to build the park, we still need donations to cover our annual budget.  We will have ongoing bills for insurance, water, upkeep, etc. — so consider a donation TODAY!!!

Dear Friends of the Community,

The Sedona Dog Park is a grass roots effort to build a community, off-leash dog park within the City of Sedona. The Park will be located on a 1.9 acre site, northwest of Carruth and Soldiers Pass Roads in Sedona. This site was selected because of its proper zoning and appropriateness for a community dog park. The parcel of land is owned by the City of Sedona and is part of the Posse Grounds Park Facility maintained by the Parks & Recreation Department.

This land is leased to Sedona Dog Park Inc, a nonprofit organization solely dedicated to developing and maintaining this Park Facility.

Responsibility for the Park remains with the organization and not with the City of Sedona. The park has completed stages ONE (Design) and TWO (City Approval) of the Park Plan, and is embracing the community for support of Stage THREE (Fund-raising) to proceed onward to Stage FOUR (Final Construction & Opening) and Stage FIVE (weekly maintenance & upkeep) of the Dog Park. We invite you to participate in this project by making a financial contribution or by becoming an active volunteer. Our goal is to raise the needed funds of $110,000 to begin construction by Fall-Winter 2006. If you are a guardian of a dog, a dog lover, or you simply recognize the community’s need for this positive project, please become a Founding Patron.
